Download the Official CapCut App

SSSCapCut handles the downloading side — but if you want to actually edit videos, you need the real CapCut app. It's free, it's made by ByteDance, and it's the only safe place to get it. Don't grab "CapCut" from random APK sites; those copies are a classic way to pick up malware.

Both listings are published by the official developer. If a link ever looks off — wrong developer name, weird URL — stop and search the store yourself instead.

Why you'd want the app

The downloader on the homepage gives you video files. The CapCut app gives you the editor: timeline trimming, effects, auto-captions, and the template library itself. They pair well — download a template's video file here to study it, then rebuild your own version in the app.

Desktop users

CapCut also has a desktop editor for Windows and Mac, available from capcut.com. The mobile app links above are the ones most people need, but if you edit on a computer, the desktop version is worth a look — same account, same templates, bigger screen.

Safety notes

Only install CapCut from the two links above. Never pay anyone for "CapCut Pro unlocked" installers, and never enter your account details into a third-party "downloader app." The official app is free, and anything asking for money or logins to "unlock" it is a scam.
